Our five strategic priorities

Priority one

Rescue and care

Rescue and care remains at the heart of the RSPCA. We have been rescuing animals from cruelty, neglect and abuse for 200 years and our unique work will continue. Our Inspectorate provides a vital frontline service, preventing harm, investigating offences and rescuing animals 365 days a year.

Advocacy and prevention

Animal welfare does not exist in isolation and the threats to animals are wide-ranging and complex. We must be part of a broader movement for societal change which improves the lives of both vulnerable animals and vulnerable people.

Understanding our impact is essential to delivering our strategy and driving societal change which makes a difference to the lives of animals.
