Not mocked, not disgraced,
Not feeling out of place,
Then my passion for animals shines!

A standard to follow, measures not hollow.
Words meaning more, 
But actions are core!

Or sameness…that gnawing, 
Loudly beating in the pit of me.
Never letting me be me,
And I sadly do, unseen…
What I have always sadly done.

But it’s time to do better,
To cast off the fetters.
